Microsoft Teams Gets New Features, Allows Up To 1000 Participants in a Call


Demand for video call feature has been hiked up a lot currently. Zoom app is facing a tough competition every day. A lot of attraction has been gained by Google Meet from Google, JioMeet from Telecom operators, and Microsoft Teams from Microsoft. The team of Microsoft has recently got a new update and brings a new set of features to help users have smoother than ever experience. Since its inception, Microsoft is all about innovation. In one of the blog post, Microsoft stated that the updated new features on the Microsoft Team will help the users to reduce the meeting fatigue and make them more seamless. Microsoft Teams new features: Together Mode, Live Reactions, Chat Bubbles, and 1000 Participants Support


  • Together Mode - This mode is for focused on helping the users understand who is speaking in the call. It will also play a major role for the users in helping then in picking up the body language and non-verbal cues which are really important for having hassle-free human interactions. By August, together mode with auditorium view will be rolled out for all the users.

    • Video Filters - This feature is very much the same as that of Snapchat and Instagram. Prior to joining the meeting, you can adjust the filters in order to give yourself a presentable look. you can adjust it to suit your lighting levels.
    • Live Reactions - These reactions are nothing but the emojis. During the video call, the users can avail the facility to react with emojis to express their emotions to the other person.
    • Chat Bubbles - This is what you see on Facebook Messenger. As per the current feature, to leave a video call, the user needs to go back to the chat screen. But after the update of the feature, the users won't have to do that anymore. The users can just use the chat bubble on their screen to do whatever they wish to do related to the video call.
    • 1000 Participants - This is one of the best update features which is the total number of people in the call. Now Microsoft will be able to support up to 1000 participants in a single video call. But in a situation where a user wants to show any of the presentations to more than 1000 people, there will be a feature of view-only meeting experience that would allow up to 20,000 users in a single call.
